North Shore Community Development Coalition invests in neighborhoods to create thriving communities. We envision a North Shore where every neighborhood is one of choice and opportunity. We use our community-focused development model to invest resources into low-income or distressed neighborhoods on the North Shore to improve the quality of life for residents. We are committed to the community through affordable housing, economic and youth development, community engagement, small business assistance, and public art + placemaking.

Member Duties :
The VISTA will design and implement a comprehensive recruitment plan to increase Youth Build enrollment and strengthen alumni engagement. Duties include creating efficient recruitment systems, meeting monthly with staff to address candidate progress and needs, and planning 3-4 replicable outreach events annually. The member will develop communication tools and social media content, train staff and student volunteers on recruitment strategies, and maintain consistent outreach to prospective applicants.
They will also build sustainable community partnerships, produce diverse marketing materials, and document all processes for future use. In addition, the VISTA will create and evaluate an alumni engagement plan, coordinate alumni panels and events, and gather feedback to enhance long-term connections with graduates-ensuring that all recruitment and engagement efforts are sustainable and can be maintained by staff after the service term.
