Responsibilities and Duties:

1.Prepare for the delivery of appropriate Math instruction in grades nine through twelve in accordance with department goals and objectives following proven procedures.
2.Develop and prepare for the delivery of the appropriate framework, as prescribed by the state of Massachusetts. Deliver organized instruction sequentially following program outlines and accepted pedagogical methods and techniques as appropriate to student learning styles and abilities.
3.Use methods of instruction that are welcoming, motivating and supporting.
4.Create an environment that is conducive to learning.
5.Provide accommodations and instruction in accordance with IEP requirements.
6.Utilize modern technologies and instructional and research tools.
7.Cooperate with intra and extra department efforts to integrate instruction.
8.Attend curriculum development meetings.
9.Participate in activities that promote the best interest of our students and our school.
10.Engage in professional development programs to keep current with modern pedagogy.
11.Cooperate with department Team Leader in fulfilling the mission of the institution.
12.Maintain decorum and control of assigned students for the purposes of enhancing learning and insuring a safe and healthful environment in the classroom and throughout the school.
13.The candidate must be able to teach effectively within in-person and remote educational models.
14.Perform all duties associated with teaching at the secondary level.
15.The candidate must be able to inspire excellence, achieve consensus and respond effectively to the system's mission with humor and enthusiasm.

Qualifications:

1.Preference to candidates certified by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education and / or certifiable in Math and or Moderate Disabilities at the secondary level.
2.Possess successful background and/or coursework to be classified as Highly Qualified in appropriate content area.
3.Possess successful background which insures capabilities to succeed as an instructor in the field of expertise.
4.Demonstrate characteristics which clearly incorporate a team concept and indicate an ability to relate positively to students and colleagues.
5.Possess a professional and personal history which is exemplary and supported with references.

6.Possess a clear sense of purpose as it pertains to teaching young people who attend this school.

7. Be physically and emotionally able to fulfill instructional responsibilities and duties.

Compensation:
1.Based on credentials, approvals and experience, the successful candidate will be paid in accordance to established long-term substitute rates = $250.00/day.

Duration:
Monday February 23, 2026 - Friday March 20, 2026
