The Carlisle School Committee seeks an exceptional Superintendent to serve as the district’s chief executive, instructional leader, and steward of its educational vision. The Superintendent leads with purpose, ensuring that the district’s vision for teaching, learning, and student experience is clearly defined, strategically advanced, and embedded in the daily life of the school.

Carlisle is a small, high-performing PreK–8 school district serving approximately 600 students on a single campus. This structure creates an intimate, collaborative learning community where the Superintendent plays a uniquely visible and hands‑on role in shaping the district’s educational direction.

• Define, articulate, and champion a clear educational vision.
• Ensure the vision informs strategic planning, curriculum decisions, instructional practice, and professional learning.
• Lead high-quality instructional programs that support academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Promote inclusive practices and support diverse learners.
• Develop and monitor annual and multi‑year district goals.

• Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and innovative student‑centered culture.
• Build strong relationships with both staff and families through transparent communication.
• Maintain a visible presence across the school community.
• Collaborate with local organizations and town partners.

• Oversee all district operations including budgeting, staffing, facilities, and compliance.
• Serve as hiring and supervising authority for all district employees.
• Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration.
• Lead planning for academics, staffing, facilities, technology, and fiscal sustainability.
• Represent Carlisle Public School in regional and state settings.
• Collaborate with Concord‑Carlisle Regional School District to support alignment and student transitions.

• Serve as chief advisor to the School Committee.
• Provide data‑informed recommendations, reports, and updates.
• Shape meeting agendas and ensure policy implementation.
• Communicate proactively about district progress.

• Demonstrated success as an instructional and organizational leader.
• Ability to craft and steward a compelling educational vision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, belonging, and whole‑child development.
• Master’s Degree in relevant field required.
• Massachusetts DESE Superintendent licensure or eligibility.
