QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma or Equivalent.
* Associates Degree preferred.
* Experience working with school aged students desirable.
* First Aid/CPR certification desirable.
* Experience with students with disabilities required.
* Able to work collaboratively with colleagues.
* Experience working with students with a variety of learning, behavioral, and emotional challenges.
* Good organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to follow teacher direction.
* Requires patience and flexibility.
* Ability to interact and take direction from a variety of professionals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Assist classroom teacher and/or special education teacher in implementing accommodations and/or modifications for students requiring such supports.
* Assist general and special education teachers in collecting data on student progress.
* Collaborate with other staff in implementing behavioral intervention plans, as needed.
* Support student independence through the acquisition of skills and strategies.
* Other duties may be assigned by the building principal or superintendent. Hours will be assigned by the principal.
REPORTS TO:
Principal and/or other Supervisor
SALARY:
$16.84 to $22.32 in accordance with the paraprofessional contract.
