Job Description

We are seeking a full‑time Math/Science Teacher to join our faculty for the  academic year and teach Precalculus, Calculus, and Physics. This role bridges mathematical theory and scientific application, helping students see the interconnectedness of disciplines. The position includes responsibility for teaching assigned courses, supporting students’ academic and personal growth, and contributing to the life of the school community. Faculty members serve as mentors, advisors, and active participants in a collaborative, student‑centered environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with course objectives and school standards.
  • Create a classroom environment that is structured, inclusive, and supportive of student learning and growth.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, interdisciplinary opportunities, and school initiatives.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events (including occasional evenings or weekends).
  • Uphold and model the mission and values of Notre Dame Academy in all aspects of school life.
  • Contribute to a positive school culture grounded in respect, responsibility, and care for others.
  • Teach advanced math and introductory/college‑prep physics.
  • Design lessons that connect mathematical reasoning to physical systems.
  • Incorporate lab‑based and experiential learning in physics instruction.
Job Requirements
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required;
    Master’s degree preferred.
  • Teaching experience:
    Prior teaching experience preferred, but not required.
  • Certification:
    Teaching certification preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability or strong potential to work effectively with middle and high school students.
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
