Qualifications:

* Must be licensed as a Special Education teacher - Moderate Disabilities with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education

* SEI Endorsement Required

* Must hold a bachelor's degree or higher.

General Duties:

Guides and evaluates the learning experience of the students in her/his classes and accepts responsibility for activities of students within her/his purview within the school building or on the school grounds.

Specific Duties :

* Provides differentiated curriculum instruction to students

* Participates in curriculum planning and professional development activities

* Prepares records and reports as required

* Provides for the care and protection of school property

* Keeps records and all books, supplies, and equipment in their classroom

* Accepts instructional and non-instructional assignments as provided for in the collective bargaining agreement

* Participates in faculty meetings and workshops

* Provides, when necessary, instructional help outside the regular student day within bounds established by the collective bargaining agreement

* Adheres to School Committee policy
