Science Teacher

We educate over 5,600 students in 11 school buildings, including Weymouth Early Childhood Center, eight elementary schools (grades K-5), Chapman Middle School (grades 6-8), and Weymouth High School (Grades 9-12). Qualifications:
* Must be licensed with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education 9-12
* SEI Endorsement required
* Must hold a bachelor's degree or higher
* Engineering experience welcomed
General Duties:
Guides and evaluates the learning experience of the students in her/his classes and accepts responsibility for activities of students within her/his purview within the school building or on the school grounds.
Specific Duties :
* Instructs to the best of her/his ability
* Participates in faculty meetings and workshops
* Provides, when necessary, instructional help outside the regular student day within bounds established by the collective bargaining agreement
* Participates in curriculum planning and professional development activities
* Prepares records and reports as required
* Provides for the care and protection of school property
* Keeps records and all books, supplies, and equipment in her/his classroom
* Accepts instructional and non-instructional assignments as provided for in the collective bargaining agreement
* Executes School Committee policy
