School Adjustment Counselor/Social Worker (Long Term Substitute) – ORR High School, Mattapoisett

Starting Date: Immediately

Old Rochester Regional School District is seeking an innovative and collaborative Social Worker/School Adjustment Counselor (Long Term Substitute) for Old Rochester Regional High School in Mattapoisett, MA to cover a leave of absence starting on August 31, 2026 through about the first week of December 2026. School Social Worker/School Adjustment license with DESE is required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct service and consultation for students.
• Use a significant portion of each day in direct contact with students for counseling, planning or decision making.
• Provide classroom and small group instruction.
• Provide crisis counseling and referral when necessary to outside agencies.
• Mediate with students and staff to resolve conflicts that interfere with the learning process.
• Provide consultation to staff regarding student difficulty in the classroom and assistance in developing positive behavior intervention and support plans.
• Serve as a resource person to staff to provide information about behavioral, social, emotional matters which may have significance for students’ program.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators and parents.
• All other duties assigned by the principal.

Salary: $130 to $323.54 Per Day

• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
