Masters Academy International is New England’s only school that combines top‑tier sports and academics to prepare future leaders who excel in athletics, academics, and life. Academics are a vital part of developing elite performers, and we have created a curriculum that respects the demands of our athletes while maintaining intellectual rigor. Students are challenged through engaging coursework grounded in inquiry, encouraging healthy disagreement, debate, and emphasis on quality over quantity.

MAI’s program balances well‑being and learning, fostering critical and creative thinking to understand and solve global challenges. As a result, students graduate as critical thinkers, effective communicators, and confident learners ready to excel in any field.

The Opportunity

As an English Teacher, you’ll promote a love of literature and lifelong learning by guiding students through close‑reading practices that deepen their understanding of texts. You’ll help students make inferences, analyze author’s craft, and engage critically with diverse voices and genres. Through thoughtful mentoring and coaching, you’ll support students throughout the writing process—from brainstorming and drafting to revising and polishing. Your classroom will be a space where peers share work, offer constructive feedback, and strengthen their voices as communicators.

You’ll embrace a broad view of composition that extends beyond traditional essays to include multimodal projects—podcasts, digital storytelling, visual essays, and other creative forms reflecting modern communication. Recognizing that technology shapes reading, writing, and thinking, you’ll thoughtfully integrate AI as a tool to support growth as readers and writers, helping students understand both the possibilities and responsibilities of these tools. Projected to become ethical, innovative communicators, students will explore ideas, analyze texts, and develop their voices responsibly.
