Assistant Principal – Quaboag Regional Middle High School

Job DescriptionReports to:
Middle High School Principal.
Primary Function:
Assume administrative responsibilities for leading and managing the operation of the Office of the Assistant Principal ded by District Budget.
- Must hold appropriate Massachusetts Licensure for Principal/Assistant Principal (Grades 5‑8 and/or 9‑12).
- A minimum of 5 years as a successful teacher (preferred).
- Experience developing a master schedule.
- Effective disciplinarian.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in supervision and evaluation.
- Oversee student discipline, maintain accurate records of referrals and consequences, and monitor state reporting.
- Monitor student attendance, oversee implementation of student attendance policy, and lead the Attendance Review Committee.
- Supervise and evaluate staff using the MA Educator Evaluation System.
- Collaborate with guidance in design of the student schedule and drop‑out prevention strategies.
- Work effectively with students, staff, colleagues, and administrators.
- Develop teacher duty schedules.
- Assist the principal in leading the school and manage the building in the absence of the principal.
- Develop and maintain student and faculty handbooks.
- Attend meetings and supervise events outside of school as necessary.
- Build, maintain, and continue to foster relationships with all stakeholders.
- Communicate information regarding QRMHS events to faculty, students, and community members.
Salary and benefits negotiable with the Superintendent.
