About Cabot After School Program (CASP)

CASP is an engaging enrichment program serving K-5 students at Cabot Elementary School. We complement the school day by providing physical activities and creative arts outlets that inspire fun, friendship, and growth in a supportive, structured environment.

Job Details
  • Wage: $21-$25/hour, based on education and experience.
  • Schedule:

    Up to 23 hours/week, following Newton Public School calendar.
  • Location:

    Cabot School, 229 Cabot Street, Newtonville, MA.

Part-time educator and one‑on‑one support roles available to promote inclusivity.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and engage groups of children in fun, enriching activities.
  • Support social and emotional growth.
  • Create and deliver curriculum in arts, STEAM, and recreation.
  • Support academic skills and reading development.
  • Supervise and participate in freeplay and recreational time.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience working with children ages 5–11 in schools or camps preferred.
  • Creative, motivated, and dependable individuals.
  • HS diploma required;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Commitment to a consistent, reliable schedule.
Schedule Highlights
  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 2:15 PM – 6:00 PM (plus 30 minutes weekly team meeting).
  • Wednesday: 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM (team meeting 10:30–11:30, clubs 1:30–3:00).
  • Early release days (11:30a-6p): 9/29, 10/27, 12/3, 2/4, 3/18, 5/6.
  • Monthly evening full team meeting (6:00–7:30 PM).
  • Mandatory orientation:
    August 26, 27, 31 & September 1.
  • School begins Wednesday, September 2 (before Labor Day!).
