The Middle School is located on the Lincoln campus and serves grades 6-8.

Position Summary
Carroll School seeks math educators with a growth mindset, a passion for lifelong learning, and a commitment to helping students build a strong sense of identity and self‑worth. The ideal candidate is collaborative, self‑directed, child‑centered, and values community. We seek experience or interest in teaching students with language‑based learning differences and a desire to acquire the competencies to serve this population.
Responsibilities- Teach four classes per day with 8-12 students plus Flex Block.
- Apply a multisensory, diagnostic, prescriptive approach to instruction.
- Create highly focused, data‑informed lesson plans specific to each student’s needs.
- Collaborate with the Middle School curricular team to develop and customize grade‑level curriculum through a culturally responsive lens.
- Develop positive working relationships with all constituencies: students, parents, colleagues, and administration.
- Serve as homeroom advisor.
- Meet regularly with coaches, teaching team, administrators, and parents of students as needed.
- Supply grades, written comments, and interim progress reports as required.
- Participate in four annual parent conferences.
- Engage in school‑sponsored professional development.
- Work in the extended day program for at least one session per year for the first three years (options include supervised study hall, sports coaching, art, Bounders, Lower School enrichment, Maker Space).
- Receive additional compensation for extended‑day work.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree;
Master’s Degree preferred. - Ability to teach using multisensory education methods.
- Willingness to train in specialized approaches to teaching students with language-based learning differences.
- Desire to teach multicultural curriculum.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum of three years teaching experience (preferred).
Salary
Exact salary offered depends on educational credentials and years of experience: 1–10 years: $60,335–$66,162; 11–25 years: $79,513–$99,406.
