Job Description

Notre Dame Academy seeks a part-time Math Teacher to join our faculty for the  academic year and teach Geometry. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys working closely with students to build strong foundational reasoning skills. The position includes responsibility for teaching assigned courses, supporting students’ academic and personal growth, and contributing to the life of the school community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with course objectives and school standards.
  • Create a structured, inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and growth.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, interdisciplinary opportunities, and school initiatives.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events (including occasional evenings or weekends).
  • Uphold and model the mission and values of Notre Dame Academy in all aspects of school life.
  • Contribute to a positive school culture grounded in respect, responsibility, and care for others.
  • Teach Geometry with an emphasis on logical reasoning and spatial thinking.
  • Support students in developing clear mathematical communication.
  • Provide targeted support to early high school learners.
Job Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required;
    Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Prior teaching experience preferred, but not required. At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Certification: Teaching certification preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work effectively with middle and high school students; strong potential to satisfy Math curriculum standards.
  • Commitment to the mission of Catholic education and an understanding of the value of all‑girls learning environments.
  • Belief in the dignity, potential, and leadership capacity of every young woman.
  • Capacity to build strong, respectful, and supportive relationships with students.
  • Teaching approach that balances high expectations with compassion and care.
  • Intellectual curiosity, passion for learning, and enthusiasm for mathematics.
  • Collaborative spirit and willingness to contribute to a team‑oriented faculty culture.
  • Strong communication skills and sense of professionalism.
