This role oversees student enrollment, onboarding, and school counseling services across the K–12 continuum, ensuring students and families experience a smooth and supportive transition into the school community. Responsibilities include managing admissions processes, reviewing transcripts and course placement, analyzing enrollment trends, and collaborating with school leaders to resolve enrollment concerns and improve student outcomes. The position also supervises counseling services, supports student success initiatives, builds partnerships with local districts and postsecondary institutions, and helps create systems that promote student engagement, academic progress, and successful postsecondary planning.

Job Duties

  • Provide strategic leadership, supervision, and evaluation of the Director of Student & Family Success and the Director of School Counseling Services to ensure the effective delivery of student support programs and services.
  • Serve as the primary supervisor for the Director of Student Supports, overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of student support systems, interventions, and compliance initiatives.
  • In collaboration with the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning, provide oversight and support for the Director of Technology & Data Systems to ensure the effective integration of technology, data management, and analytics in support of student achievement, enrollment, and organizational goals.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations related to student support services, special education, enrollment, and student rights.
  • Partner with K–12 school administrators and support service leaders to cultivate an inclusive, equitable, and supportive virtual learning environment that promotes student engagement, achievement, and well‑being.
  • Partner with the Director of School Counseling to establish systems of accountability, intervention, and student progress monitoring that promote student engagement, attendance, and academic success.
  • Support the Director of Student and Family Success with the planning, coordination, and implementation of both in‑person and virtual student and family engagement events, including orientations, information sessions, and community‑building opportunities.
  • Analyze student performance, attendance, engagement, persistence, and well‑being data to identify trends, assess program effectiveness, and recommend strategic interventions that improve student outcomes and retention.
  • Collaborate with K–12 administrators, counseling teams, and student support staff to review enrollment concerns, resolve enrollment barriers and compliance issues, and ensure students are appropriately placed, supported, and positioned for success.
  • Utilize data‑driven decision‑making to evaluate student support programs, monitor key performance indicators, and develop continuous improvement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the review and audit of high school transcripts for incoming students and assist with course placement, graduation requirement alignment, and academic planning to ensure successful transitions.
  • Provide presentations and outreach to local school districts regarding MassCA’s educational model, enrollment expectations, and student support systems to strengthen partnerships and awareness.
  • Strategically develop and maintain relationships with postsecondary institutions, workforce development programs, and community organizations to expand opportunities for student transition planning and future success.
  • Ensure compliance with state and district requirements related to enrollment, student records, counseling services, and graduation planning.
  • Collaborate with academic, special education, and student support departments to create a seamless student experience from enrollment through graduation.
