A Special Education Teacher with Massachusetts Certification in Moderate/Severe Special Needs, experienced in working with elementary age students presenting with intellectual/cognitive impairment, language impairment, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, or neurological impairments. The teacher must have the ability to collect and analyze assessment data, write and implement Individualized Education Plans and Student Support or Behavior Plans, and work collaboratively with general education, special education colleagues, administration, and families.

Experience in MCAS - Alternative Assessment is required. The successful candidate will possess professionalism, passion for teaching and learning, effective communication skills, and demonstrate cultural proficiency.

• Massachusetts Certification in Elementary Education in Moderate/Severe Special Needs.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with students with moderate/severe special needs and behavioral needs.
• Ability to provide evidence of impact on student improvement.
• Effective collaboration with administrators, colleagues, school-based staff, students, parents/guardians, and community members.
• Ability to manage challenging behavior and promote positive behavior.
• Demonstrated patience, understanding, and empathy with students and parents/guardians.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

$58,420.00 – $ per year.
