Pine Cobble School is seeking a creative, energetic, and experienced Guitar Art Instructor for our upcoming Guitar Immersion Camp. This position is ideal for an educator or working artist who thrives on inspiring young minds and fostering a dynamic, hands‑on studio environment.
Position Overview- Job Title: Guitar Art Instructor (Guitar Immersion Camp)
- Camp Dates: July 20
- July 24, 2026 - Camp
Hours:
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - Location: Buxton Campus
- Target Age Group: 9 to 14 years old (10 students maximum enrollment)
- Compensation: $500 per week stipend
- Teach Core Guitar Foundations: Guide campers through single notes, basic notation, tablature, and open chords appropriate for beginners and intermediate players.
- Facilitate Multi‑Part Ensemble Songs: Arrange and teach multi‑part songs that accommodate varying skill levels within the 9‑to‑14 age group, ensuring every camper can contribute.
- Guide Digital Song Exploration: Help campers utilize online resources to learn how to figure out and practice their favorite songs independently.
- Foster a Supportive Group Environment: Create a fun, engaging, and hands‑on studio atmosphere that meets students where they are, whether they are total beginners or have prior strumming experience.
- Manage Daily Camp Operations: Oversee the daily 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. sessions, including check‑in, structured lesson blocks, hands‑on practice, and equipment coordination.
- Direct Final Performance: Prepare campers for and coordinate the short performance on the final day of camp to showcase their progress to families or fellow campers.
