Job Description

Webster Public Schools is seeking qualified candidates to serve as a District-Wide Specialized Reading Teacher at Webster Middle School. The role involves providing targeted reading instruction to students across multiple schools and grade levels, holding Wilson Certification, and demonstrating expertise in evidence‑based instruction and planning.

  • Provide individualized and small‑group reading instruction.
  • Conduct formal and informal assessments to monitor student progress.
  • Write progress reports and maintain accurate instructional records.
  • Collaborate with teachers, service providers, administrators, and families to support student achievement.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes academic growth and student success.
Qualifications
  • Hold a Massachusetts Licensure in Special Education, Moderate Disabilities for grades 5‑8.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Citizen, resident, or work visa status required.
  • Experience working with moderate special needs students and case management, curriculum planning, writing lesson plans, supervising paraprofessional staff, and administering educational assessments.
