Position Summary

The Campus Aide provides supervision and direction to students across various areas of the school campus and maintains classroom continuity to ensure that students continue to learn in their teacher’s absence. This role serves as a perfect entry point into the school environment, offering valuable hands‑on experience working across diverse areas of the school building and providing a strong foundation for individuals looking to further their profession through future promotional opportunities.

This position is essential to promoting a safe, orderly environment for students and staff during both classroom and non‑classroom activities.

  • Educational Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Professional

    Experience:

    Experience working with children or within an educational/community setting is preferred.
  • Language Proficiency: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is preferred.

    Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and respond effectively to questions from students, staff, parents, and community members; ability to maintain positive, collaborative working relationships.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Sound reasoning and analytical skills to evaluate information, define problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and recommend appropriate courses of action.
  • Instructional & Professional Practice: Ability to use professional literature, evidence‑based research, and ongoing professional learning to inform practice decisions; experience evaluating student skills and writing clear, concise reports; ability to implement lessons aligned with district and school goals.
  • Data & Technology Proficiency: Ability to use data effectively to inform instructional decisions and improve student outcomes; proficiency in instructional technology and educational software, including Google Workspace for Education.
