After School Teaching Artist - Piano

Position Description

Wellan Montessori School is accepting applications from Teaching Artists for after school piano lessons during the  school year. Wellan offers individual in‑person lessons after school to students in Kindergarten through Grade
8. Recitals are held at the end of each semester. Hours vary between 3‑6 pm Monday‑Friday depending on enrollment and teacher availability.

The successful applicant will have excellent skills on their instrument, experience teaching children in Kindergarten through Grade 8, and the ability to foster a love of music in their students.

The pay rate for this position is between $70‑$80/hour.

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related music field required, Master's degree preferred
• Experience with a variety of instructional methods and multi‑age learning environments
• Commitment to meeting the needs of each student
• Resume, cover letter, and at least two references are required in order to be considered for this position. References should include parents of at least two current or recent students.
