Associate Lecturer (PT), Graphic Design Program
We are actively seeking an adjunct faculty member for the Graphic Design program for Spring 2026. The role requires proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, typography, HTML/CSS web design, motion graphics, Wacom tablets, and large‑format printing.
Responsibilities- Deliver engaging instruction on core graphic design topics including Adobe applications, typography, design principles, web design, motion graphics, and the use of Wacom tablets and large‑format printers.
- Facilitate hands‑on practical exercises and projects to help students apply theoretical concepts and gain real‑world design experience.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance on students’ work to foster artistic development and proficiency.
- Contribute to ongoing curriculum development and enhancement of the Graphic Design program, incorporating industry trends and best practices.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty members to exchange ideas and collectively enhance the learning environment.
- Stay up‑to‑date with advancements in graphic design tools, technologies, and industry standards to continuously improve expertise and share relevant knowledge with students.
- MFA, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, typography, design principles, HTML/CSS, motion graphics, Wacom tablets, and large‑format printers.
- Prior teaching experience at the college level.
- Prior experience working with Canvas.
- A passion for mentoring and guiding emerging designers, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility in adapting teaching methodologies to diverse learning styles and proficiency levels.
- Dedication to promoting creativity, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills within the design discipline.
$3,735 per 3‑credit course.
