Dover Sherborn Elementary Schools is seeking Educational Assistants to work with students in grades K-5. Assistants lead individuals and small groups, support academic and social/emotional skills, supervise lunch, breaks, recess, assist teachers with material preparation, and collect data on student progress. Support is provided by special and general education staff.
Primary Responsibilities- Supervise, nurture, and support students.
- Facilitate classroom activities supporting academic, social/emotional, and behavioral learning needs.
- Ensure inclusion services and accommodations are consistently provided per student disability needs.
- Implement and collect data for designated academic learning activities and positive behavior support plans.
- Communicate with general and special education staff regarding student progress.
- Supervise students in classroom, lunch, breaks, and recess.
- Collaborate and communicate with staff to take initiative.
- Collect data as instructed.
- Bachelor’s level coursework in education or related field.
- Experience supporting students using differentiated instruction strategies.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Preferred: 2+ years of relevant experience.
