Position: Full-Time

20 hours per week – Monday through Friday, 8 am – 12 pm. Step 1: $24.58 per hour. Benefits and Middlesex County Retirement System Eligible. Education Support Professional (ESP) Unit.

• Supports students during small and large group times to engage in educational and social interactions.
• Leads the class and/or small groups in activities.
• Provides direct support to individuals and small groups of students based on Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Under the direction of the classroom teacher or special education liaison, modifies and adapts instruction according to a student’s IEP.
• Monitors student progress, records performance data, and communicates such to the classroom teacher.
• Assists students in completing activities of daily living.
• Prepares instruction materials according to teacher guidelines.
• Promotes appropriate social interaction and behavioral compliance for students, including implementing behavior plans.
• Other duties as assigned.
