Special Education Teacher - Licensed in Moderate Disabilities

Position: Teacher – Devereux Day School

Location: Rutland, MA

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

Pay Range: $60,500 – $77,488 annually (depending on experience and education)

Sign-On Bonus: $3,000

• Prepare and teach lessons in accordance with the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework and students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Supervise teachers’ aides in the classroom.
• Provide support and act as a positive role model for students, meeting their educational, social, and behavioral needs.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner.

• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Massachusetts DESE licensure in Moderate Disabilities required.
• Experience working with individuals under 21 who have psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred.
• Availability to attend a 2‑week paid orientation in Rutland, MA (Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM).
