As a Teaching Assistant
, you will provide general classroom support across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, working alongside teaching staff to create a positive learning environment where every student can achieve their potential.
The successful Teaching Assistant will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
- Encourage student participation, confidence and independence.
- Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Assist with preparing learning resources and classroom activities.
- Provide additional support for pupils who require extra guidance.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents where appropriate.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

RequirementsTo be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will:
- Have experience working with secondary age children.
- Hold a minimum Level 2 childcare qualification or equivalent.
- Have excellent behaviour management skills.
- Be a confident communicator, able to use your own initiative when required.
