Wellness Teacher, Grades 5-8 - Long-term Substitute - One year appointment
Orientation will take place on August 21 & 24, 2026.
The wellness teacher teaches wellness classes (a combination of physical education and health) to students in grades 5-8. Students in all grades will be seen on a weekly basis, either once or twice a week. The teacher is responsible for executing culturally responsive and inclusive lessons, maintaining a supply closet, tracking the wellness budget, and instructing health lessons that include puberty lessons relevant to each grade.
A candidate familiar with the revised Comprehensive Health and Physical Education (CHPE) Framework is sought after. Candidates licensed in other subject areas are also preferred.
This position reports to the building principal.
LocationLincoln, Massachusetts – a residential suburb located 12 miles northwest of Boston.
