Position: Dental Assisting Instructor, Dental Materials - Cape Cod Community College
Location: West Barnstable

Job Description:

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide instruction for Dental Materials (DAS
102)(2-credit course) to dental assisting students in the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 academic year. This course provides an introduction to dental materials and techniques utilized for various laboratory, restorative, and clinical applications. Includes both didactic information and laboratory practice with products including gypsum, impression materials, waxes, cements, restorative materials and thermoplastic resins. A focus on digital dental workflow will be included with scanning and Cerec technologies.

Safety is emphasized. Course is Asynchronous.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree.

* Demonstrate experience with asynchronous teaching.

* Teaching experience at the college level or equivalent.

* Ability to create an environment that supports student learning and success.

* Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

ADDITIONAL

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Previous teaching experience of Dental Anatomy in a community college setting.

* Evidence of teaching methodology, experience with learning management systems such as Moodle.

Additional Information:

COMPENSATION:
Anticipated starting salary - Step I DCE Pay Scale (currently $3,024 for 2-credit course). Part-time, non-benefited DCE/MCCC Unit position.
