The Adult Education Program is seeking for a Part-Time ESOL Site Advisor.

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education or related field required;
  Master’s Degree preferred
• Multilingual preferred
• 3 – 5 years Adult Basic Education/Advising experience preferred
• Case management experience preferred
• Experience working with a diverse adult population (ages 16+) with complex socio-economic needs
• Knowledgeable about post‑secondary educational options, workforce development, career pathway development, and financial literacy or willingness to learn
• Must communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Proficient in use of Google Suite with strong technological aptitude

• Guides, assists, and tracks student progress toward personal, post‑secondary education and employment goal achievement.
• Supports student development of a plan to overcome potential barriers that would impede goal achievement with an emphasis on understanding the disorienting effects of immigration and debilitating effects of poverty.
• Attains certification and assists with delivery of program required summative assessments.
• Co‑manages, with program administration and the program advisor, the site’s ABE and ESOL intake processes, including administering and scoring intake assessments to effectively enroll students.
• Collaborates as a team member with all staff to foster an environment for improved academic and personal outcomes for every student.
• Ensures equal access and equal opportunity so that each student is able to participate fully in programming. This includes a special emphasis on understanding physical and learning disabilities and appropriate and timely referrals to community resources.
• Collaborates with the Program Advisor to develop, update and share case notes on student status.
• Assists and facilitates in‑class small group lessons and activities.
• Participates in relevant staff professional development hours.
• Fulfills other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
