Science Teacher, Middle School
Location: West Newbury
MSHS Science Teacher
The Middle High School Science Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering effective science instruction to students primarily in grades 7-8 with the possibility of teaching in grades 9–12. The teacher will foster a positive learning environment that supports critical thinking, problem-solving, and mastery of science concepts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with state and district science standards.
- Teach science concepts appropriate to the grade level, including topics in physical science, earth science, life science, and technology/engineering.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student understanding regularly through quizzes, tests, projects, and formative assessments.
- Provide timely feedback and support to help students improve their mathematical skills.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying abilities, including those with IEPs or English language learners.
- Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and communication.
- Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and curriculum planning.
