One-Year, Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Position for the School Year
Carlisle Public Schools seeks a creative, collaborative, and student-centered Elementary Art Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators for the school year. The successful candidate will foster artistic growth and creativity while creating an inclusive learning environment that inspires curiosity, self-expression, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
Essential Responsibilities- Teach visual art to students in kindergarten through grade 4.
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction that develops students' artistic skills, creativity, and understanding of a variety of artistic methods, materials, techniques, and media.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages creativity, risk-taking, and respect for diverse perspectives.
- Design and implement authentic assessments, analyze student learning, provide timely and constructive feedback, and use assessment data to inform instruction.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs, strengths, and developmental levels of all students.
- Establish high expectations for student learning, behavior, effort, and artistic achievement.
- Foster an equitable and culturally responsive classroom that affirms students' identities, backgrounds, languages, and experiences.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, administrators, and staff to support student success and strengthen the school community through the arts.
- Build positive partnerships with families by maintaining open communication about student progress, curriculum, and strategies to support learning at home.
- Reflect on instructional practice, participate in ongoing professional learning, and collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching and student outcomes.
- Uphold the professional, ethical, and collaborative standards of Carlisle Public Schools.
Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Visual Art (PreK-8) required.

- Uses assessment data to support student growth and continuously improve instruction.
