5th Grade Classroom Teacher Halifax Elementary

Fifth Grade Teacher Position

This is a full time position teaching 5th grade at Halifax Elementary School in Halifax, MA.

A successful candidate will:

• possess a valid MA license to teach grades 1-6, Elementary (1-6), SEI endorsed
• support students academically, emotionally, and behaviorally
• collaborate with grade level teachers
• use data to inform instruction
• teach all subject areas, communicate with families and collaborate with colleagues
• communicate clearly in writing and verbally
• communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing
• work with students, colleagues and families from diverse backgrounds with diverse needs in an inclusive and culturally-proficient manner
• support students academically, emotionally, and behaviorally
• Taught or have familiarity with Wonders, HMH and OG is preferred

This position reports directly to the building principal.

This is a fulltime benefits eligible position through the Town of Halifax and salary is commensurate with experience, education and alignment to the Halifax Teachers Association contract.
