Provide instruction for Personal Finance (BUS
175) a3-credit course that serves as a business elective for students in business programs. This course also meets a general educationelective (interdisciplinary studies). Comprehensive instructionincludes methodologies for students developing conceptualunderstanding of personal finance with an emphasis on developinggood money management skills.
This position is to be filled forthe Fall 2026 semester and the course will be delivered/offered oncampus.
- Provide on campus instruction utilizing educationaltechnologies.
- Select and develop appropriate materials for class use tofulfill course learning outcomes.
- Track and assess student progress.
- Maintain appropriate attendance and learner records.
- Participate in ongoing professional development.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field (including Education).
- Effective pedagogical, teaching, and presentation skills.
- Experience using evidence-based strategies to support student success including frequent communication and active learning.
- Experience in the accounting field.
- Ability to create a classroom environment that engages students and supports learning.
- Skill in using technology to support the writing, teaching, and learning processes.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- College-level teaching experience.
- Professional development in teaching at the community collegelevel.
- Skill using MOODLE to support student learning.

Additional Information CompensationAnticipated starting salary - Step I DCE Pay Scale (currently $4,536 for 3-credit course). Part-time,non-benefited DCE/MCCC Unit position.
