JCC Greater Boston in Newton, MA, is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Certified Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team. This position provides you with an opportunity to work with students of all ages and backgrounds, with a focus on providing a positive, nurturing environment that fosters learning and growth. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, dedicated educator with a passion for helping students achieve their full potential.

As a Certified Toddler Teacher at JCC Greater Boston, you will have the chance to inspire and engage students while developing educational programs that promote social, emotional, and academic growth.

This posting is for a full-time 12- month, salaried Certified Infant/Toddler Teacher. The starting pay for this position is a salary range of $47,944 -$58,136.00 pro rata (based on rate range of $23.05 to $27.95
*** for highly qualified, certified, degreed candidates

).

The salary offered will ultimately be determined by relevant qualifications, experience, and JCC's internal equity.

  • Create a safe and nurturing environment where children can play, learn, and take risks
  • Maintain full responsibility for the smooth running of the classroom environment
  • In partnership with Early Learning Center Directors and peers, co-create a collaborative, dynamic, positive, and innovative classroom culture.
  • Work in partnership with JCC leadership and other departments to support JCC Greater Boston organizational goals and model JCC values
  • Partner and communicate with families to ensure the best care and education for the children
  • Design and implement curriculum
  • Complete observation and document assessments regarding children’s progress
  • Adhere to all EEC regulations as well as NAEYC guidelines
Qualifications
  • EEC Professional Teacher level or higher Certification (Strong Start is not considered equivalent and does not meet this requirement). For consideration applicants must include a copy of EEC Teacher Certification or proof of pending certification along with demonstrated eligibility.
  • A love of children and a strong desire to make a difference every day
  • Strong organizational skills, including teamwork, relationship-building skills, the ability to multitask, the ability to manage situations effectively and diplomatically
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability and commitment to build strong relationships with families, co-workers, ELC leadership, and JCCGB colleagues
  • Commitment to create and foster a dynamic environment where play and learning are a top priority
  • Computer literate
