South Shore Early Education and Care, a program of South Shore Community Action Council, is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our Early Education team in West Yarmouth. What We OfferFull-time, year-round position 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m.
-3:00 p.m. No nights or weekends.

Competitive starting hourly rates based on education: CDA: $24.60/hour, AA/AS: $25.62/hour, BA/BS: $27.67/hour.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging daily lesson plans and curriculum using Creative Curriculum
- Create and maintain a safe, healthy welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Provide teaching activities that align with EEC Program Standards
- Assist with meals and classroom routines
- Monitor children on the bus as assigned
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in other program activities and responsibilities as needed
- Massachusetts EEC certification in Preschool is required.
- CDA, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to speak and understand English is required.
- Portuguese, Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Arabic Language Skills are a plus, but not required.
- 18 years of age required.
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license required.
All Candidates Must Successfully Complete The Required CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background checks as part of the hiring process.
