Job DescriptionProfessional Development Committee members are educators at each school who assist the Director of Curriculum and Instructional Technology in the areas of educator professional development. PDC members actively support and promote the district mission and school goals.
Under the supervision of the Director of Curriculum and Instructional Technology, PDC members serve as liaisons within and between the committee and their school-based staff. The work of PDC members focuses primarily on educator professional learning as it pertain to the planning for, development of, implementation, and evaluation of professional development. PDC members are expected to engage with their peers and colleagues to inform the building of the Professional Development Plan, while engaging in proactive communication with peers to engage and inform staff about the opportunities and expectations for professional learning.
PDC responsibilities may include:
- Participate in committee meetings
- Promote professional development opportunities
- Discussion, coordination, and implementation of professional learning experiences
- Engage in evaluation of PD
- Lead discussions about PD at appropriate times (staff meetings, department meetings, etc.)

- Master’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited university.
