The Williams College Department of Anthropology and Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track sociocultural anthropologist whose expertise would complement those of the current faculty. The department has a unique interdisciplinary focus that emphasizes innovative, empirically grounded qualitative work, including ethnography, historical comparative anthropology and sociology, visual methods, and other qualitative traditions. For this position we are primarily interested in an economic anthropologist or anthropologist of indigeneity, and whose work is situated in Latin America, Africa, or Southeast Asia.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include teaching two courses per semester, along with participation in departmental and faculty governance.
