Job DescriptionCarlisle Public School is seeking a dynamic Middle School Academic Support Tutor to collaborate with our middle school educator team. The ideal candidate will foster an inclusive learning environment, engage students, and deliver targeted academic support to help students build critical thinking skills and learning independence.
Qualifications- Education:
Bachelor’s degree required. - Experience:
Prior experience delivering academic support and targeted interventions to middle school students, preferred. - Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of adolescent development and instructional strategies, preferred.
- Direct Support:
Provide small-group instruction, previewing, reinforcement, and review of reading, writing, and math concepts aligned with student learning goals. - Intervention Planning:
Collaborate with the principal and teaching staff to identify, plan, and deliver effective small-group interventions. - Progress Monitoring:
Collect and document student performance data to monitor growth and inform instruction. - Student Autonomy:
Implement learning and organizational strategies to strengthen academic skills while fostering student independence. - Communication:
Maintain clear, professional communication with parents as directed by supervising teachers and school policies. - Professional Standards:
Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to the professional standards expected of instructional staff. - Additional Duties:
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Middle School Principal.
