The K teaching assistant works under the direction of the lead teacher to create a safe, clean, and caring environment for young children. This role helps children build social, emotional, and early academic skills.
- -Help implement lesson plans, set up materials, and lead small group activities
- -Keep children safe during class, outdoor play, field trips, and nap times
- -Assist with snacks, meals, bathroom breaks, and diapering when needed
- -Encourage positive interactions, sharing, and problem-solving among student
- -Observe children and share notes on their development with the lead teacher
Position Type: Full-time
Job Requirements- -High school diploma or GED (some programs prefer or require college credits or an Early Childhood Education credential).
- -Current CPR and first aid certification
- -Clean criminal background check and fingerprint screening
- -Patience, physical stamina to keep up with young children, and good communication skills
- At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- Associate degree preferred.
