The Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District is seeking a qualified Extended Leave Substitute for the Little Falcons Preschool Program at Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School.

Little Falcons is a private-pay teaching preschool serving children ages 3–5 and also functions as a model lab classroom for high school students enrolled in the Chapter 74 Early Education and Care program.

This temporary position is anticipated to last approximately eight weeks, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing age-appropriate preschool curriculum and maintaining established classroom routines
• Providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
• Supporting the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of preschool students
• Supervising children in classroom and outdoor settings
• Collaborating with CTE staff and supporting high school students participating in preschool lab experiences
• Communicating regularly with families
• Maintaining attendance, assessment, and other required documentation
• Upholding all health, safety, and professional expectations

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $115 to $140 Per Day

• Required:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• CPR/First Aid Certification, including AED and Epi Pen, or ability to obtain
• Experience working effectively with young children
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Preferred:
• EEC License or other early childhood credential
• Child Development Associate (CDA)
• Relevant coursework or training in Early Childhood Education
• Previous preschool teaching or lead teacher experience
• Experience communicating with families and supporting preschool operations
• At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
