Special Education Teacher (Certified in either Moderate 5-12, or Severe Disabilities K-12)

Special Education Teacher Responsibilities:- Providing individualized instruction based on student needs
- Conducting evaluations in preparation for IEP development
- Using the results to develop measurable IEPs
- Special Education Teacher is responsible for monitoring IEP related programs to ensure accurate and consistent implementation
- Collecting and summarizing data
- Supervising and training Teacher Aide working in the classroom
- Providing written student reports and presenting student progress at team meetings
- Certified in either Massachusetts Moderate 5-12, or Severe Disabilities K-12
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education required, Master’s degree preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- RMV, CORI and DSS checks required
- Full Time (year-round) — 40 hours per week, 225-day school year
