We have an anticipated opening for a Group Leader in our Preschool Child Care Wrap Program.

Hours:

Monday-Friday 10:00 am-4:00 pm

• Classroom Leadership:
  Support the Site Coordinator in planning and executing daily educational and creative activities, and take charge of the classroom routine in their absence.
• Child Supervision & Care:
  Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for children ages 3 to 5, supervising indoor and outdoor play.
• Development Support:
  Help prepare learning materials, and apply positive behavioral guidance techniques.
• Family Communication:
  Assist in building positive relationships with parents and share daily progress updates when requested.
• Health & Safety:
  Monitor children's health, enforce safety rules, and maintain a clean room.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma required; an Early Childhood Education (ECE) credential, CDA, or college credits in a related field are strongly preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 1 to 2 years of professional experience working with preschool-age children.
• Certifications:
  
  A clear background check and fingerprinting as required by state law. Valid CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus.
• Physical
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to actively interact with children, kneel, sit on the floor, and lift up to 35 pounds.

Position Type: Part-time

Salary: $17 to $24 Per Hour

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE The Millis Extended Day Enrichment Program is a self-supporting, non-profit, public school program, for children ages 15 months to four-years with a school-age program for students in grades kindergarten through six. The Childcare Center, for toddlers and young children, has a classroom designed for the age group. The school-age programs each have their own classrooms and offer an educational enrichment experience to those needing supervised care when school is not in session.

The programs take place the entire school year with a separate school-age Summer Program. Millis Extended Day strives to provide your child with an environment where she or he can safely explore, discover, create and grow.,

• At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
