Who We're Looking For:
TSMC Washington is at the forefront of semiconductor innovation, where our teams are dedicated to advancing technology leadership, achieving manufacturing excellence, and fostering robust customer collaboration. We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Principal Product Engineer to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role is responsible for spearheading product yield enhancement initiatives, providing advanced technical and strategic support to our key customers, and driving cross-functional collaboration across the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess a profound technical mastery of device physics and CMOS process technologies, demonstrate exceptional leadership in a team-oriented environment, and apply sophisticated problem-solving methodologies to complex challenges.
Responsibilities included but not limited to:
* Strategic Yield Leadership:
Architect and lead complex yield improvement programs, collaborating strategically with Fab Process Integration and Module teams to achieve significant and sustainable gains.
* Advanced Failure Analysis:
Employ advanced statistical data analysis, electrical characterization, and physical failure analysis techniques to proactively identify and mitigate complex failure modes and mechanisms, thereby enhancing product yield and stability.
* Process Window Optimization:
Leverage expert-level knowledge of semiconductor device physics, process technology, and advanced circuit/layout principles to strategically expand the process window and optimize product performance.
* Customer Technical Partnership:
Serve as a primary technical liaison, providing in-depth, high-level technical and manufacturing consultation to strategic customers, ensuring their complex requirements are met.
* Product Ramp-Up & Success:
Drive and facilitate successful, on-time product ramp-ups for customers, ensuring first-pass success through expert guidance and proactive problem resolution.
Required Qualifications:
* Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a closely related engineering discipline.
* Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in CMOS device physics and process integration, with a proven track record of significant contributions.
* Comprehensive understanding of advanced circuit design principles and their practical applications in semiconductor manufacturing.
* Demonstrated ability to thrive in high-pressure environments, effectively managing and prioritizing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
* Exceptional attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to precision in all technical and analytical endeavors.
* A highly self-motivated and results-oriented professional with a strong drive to innovate and deliver impactful solutions.

Schedule:
This position operates on-site at our Camas, Washington location during core business hours, Monday through Friday 8 am - 5 pm; however, there may be occasions when additional hours are necessary to meet project demands.

Pay Transparency & Other Compensation:
At TSMC, your base pay is just one component of your comprehensive compensation package. For new hires in this position, the starting salary typically ranges between $108,235 and $156,729 per year. The full salary range for this Job Grade extends from $108,235 - $172,895 depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, education, experience, tenure, and position level. TSMC's total compensation package also includes market-competitive pay, profit sharing and incentive bonuses, and tuition assistance.
