Environmental Senior Project Manager (LSP)
We are seeking an experienced Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) to join our environmental consulting team in Woburn, Massachusetts. This position serves as a senior project manager and technical leader, responsible for managing complex environmental projects under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) while supporting key client relationships.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, proven project management skills, and the ability to mentor staff while delivering high quality regulatory compliant work products.
Core Responsibilities- Serve as Licensed Site Professional of record, overseeing and signing MCP reports including IRAs, RAMs, Phase I–IV reports, and Temporary and Permanent Solutions.
- Manage environmental investigation, assessment, and remediation projects from initiation through completion.
- Prepare and review technical documents, including work plans, remedial designs, cost estimates, and regulatory permits.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and subcontractors (e.g., drilling, soil excavation, groundwater monitoring, soil gas and indoor air sampling, spill response).
- Communicate effectively with MassDEP regulators, clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical oversight for health and safety compliance on assigned projects.
- Support emergency response activities as an LSP, including occasional off hours or weekend support.
- Prepare proposals and support business development efforts.
- Manager project schedules, budgets, invoicing, and overall project performance.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to junior and midlevel staff.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to regional and national teams as needed.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
- Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) in good standing.
- Current OSHA 40hour HAZWOPER certification (or ability to obtain/renew).
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
- SPCC Plans.
- ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
- Remedial design and implementation;
Quantitative and qualitative risk assessment. - Radon and indoor air sampling;
Contaminant fate and transport evaluations. - PFAS assessment and remediation.
- Experience with ENFOS and the MA 21E Program.
- Ability to travel within New England approximately 15% of the time.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and PDF compilation software.
- Excellent communication and client facing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
