Automation Controls Engineer

Job Summary

Lead Physical AI project delivery across design, analysis, programming, and integration of robotics, automation, technologies, and processes related to equipment and tooling for applicability to programs and products. Develops, implements, and tests preventative maintenance plans, interim solutions for damaged and unsafe equipment, and tooling. Investigates and documents engineering changes and controls equipment and tooling configuration in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Develops and recommends equipment reliability improvements through the application of reliability engineering tooling.

Lead complex engineering tasks in design, analysis, modification, and integration of automation systems; define validation strategies and develop test plans; drive root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions for reliability improvements; ensure documentation accuracy and configuration control; mentor junior contributors and promote standardized best practices; coordinate cross-functional implementation and readiness for deployment; maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements; advance continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven methodologies to optimize performance and efficiency.

Demonstrate proficiency in automation principles, robotics, and control systems; apply advanced problem-solving techniques and analytical methods; communicate complex technical concepts effectively and maintain precise documentation; utilize statistical tools and data visualization for decision-making; manage scope, risks, and priorities in dynamic environments; institutionalize standards and continuous improvement practices; collaborate across functions to ensure integration and operational readiness.

The pay range for this role is $87,300 - $157,200.
