the Job

Under the supervision of the Retail Banking Officer, the Float Banking Center Specialist, based out of our West Brookfield Banking Center, plays an integral role in ensuring that an exceptional customer experience is achieved end‑to‑end in each banking interaction. The role is responsible for accurately operating a cashbox, cash recycler, and vaults, opening new accounts, accepting loan applications, managing various account maintenance and servicing requests, and troubleshooting.

The hiring range for this position is: $22.00 - $29.00 hourly. Status:
Full Time, 37 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to build and deepen customer relationships by actively listening and engaging the customer to understand their current and future financial needs and priorities. Offer Country Bank solutions and educate customers on products, promotions and digital services to assist the customer in reaching their financial goals. Meet all defined growth and sales goals, and achieve at least acceptable average satisfaction ratings on all customer surveys.
  • Take ownership of the customer’s request and manage the customer experience from end-to-end to ensure outstanding satisfaction. Involve referral partners as needed and use sound judgement to resolve or upscale customer issues. Identify appropriate follow-up timelines and mediums based on customer preferences, and follow through to keep the customer updated.
  • Open various types of new accounts, including consumer, business, and retirement. Ensure proper identification is collected and prepare and collect appropriate applications and agreements. Provide customers with instructions and education on self‑service set‑up products.
  • Manage all levels of account servicing requests such as processing address changes, issuing new ATM/Debit cards, enrolling and troubleshooting for online banking, and assisting customers with ATM/Debit fraud resolution.
  • Process financial transactions for customers including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashing checks, issuing cashier’s checks, entering wire transfers, and ordering foreign currency. May provide certain transaction exceptions within policy or procedural guidelines. Perform transactions and balance a cash box, cash recycler, and vault daily while maintaining an excellent balancing record in compliance with the Bank’s established Banker Performance Criteria.
  • Originate and close home equity lines of credit and consumer loans.
  • Follow Bank procedures to independently open and close Banking Centers daily.
  • Model and promote the Country Bank Experience for all staff. Participate in and facilitate role‑play and skill‑building exercises, both independently and with the Banking Center team, to increase comfortability and improve technique in engaging the customer and identifying potential roadblocks to an outstanding customer experience.
  • Maintain knowledge of and compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations governing the activities of the Bank.
