Seasonal Assistant Wharfinger
Starting Pay $22.25
Duties Include- Ensuring maintenance of the Chatham Municipal Fish Pier facility and surrounding areas
- Managing vehicle traffic and parking, and pedestrian activities, at the Fish Pier facility, including issuance of citations as appropriate
- Enforcing regulations in relation to Pier use by commercial and recreational vessels and businesses
- Provide information to the public regarding rules and regulations governing the Fish Pier
- Maintaining cleanliness of the Fish Pier and surrounding areas
Must have the ability to politely explain and enforce regulations and to follow safety protocols. Current Basic First Aid, AED, and CPR certificates are required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be able to walk and stand for extended durations. Must have a valid Massachusetts Class D driver’s license.
Position is seasonal/temporary, up to 40 hours per week, anticipated to end early October. Position is not benefits or pension eligible. ADA/EO/AAE
