The Town of Chatham seeks applicants for the position of Seasonal Town Landing Officer
. Responsibilities include overseeing public use of Town landings and waterfront facilities, ensuring compliance with local and state regulations, and providing information and assistance to the public. Duties also include issuing warnings or fines for violations, assisting with light maintenance and cleanliness of landing areas and supporting of the Harbormaster’s Office in regulatory enforcement. The Town Landing Officer works under the general supervision of the Coastal Resilience Director and the Harbormaster.

Candidates must be able to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain professionalism in all interactions with the public. Applicants should be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license. Must have the ability to comfortably be on your feet and move in and around docks, floats and bulkheads during the day. Basic computer and communication skills are required.

This is a seasonal position with varying hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, up to 40 hours per week. The starting pay is $23.00 per hour.
