Job Overview
Senior Program Manager – C3I & N Directorate (Contract position).
Location:
Hanscom Air Force Base, MA, US. Job type:
Full-time.
Education:
Bachelor's Level Degree.
- Knowledge and understanding of principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management defined in DoDI 5000.2, and understanding of DoD and Air Force roles and relationships.
- Assist the program manager in assessing schedule and cost baselines, recommending viable solutions, and pursuing alternative courses of action.
- Plan, research, analyze, and assess system acquisition in terms of development, production, and deployment of weapons systems and associated equipment; develop plans and recommend strategies to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
- Plan, schedule, and facilitate exchanges and meetings with the program office team, stakeholders, and industry to understand program requirements and emerging commercial technologies.
- Formulate, recommend, and draft acquisition strategy and associated statutory and regulatory acquisition documentation.
- Support acquisition strategy reviews, develop supporting documentation, and support the government in drafting RFP documents and final RFP documents.
- Support program management reviews, senior‑level meetings/reviews, IMP/IMS reviews; develop briefings and schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management.
- Analyze program operations and execute approved process improvement initiatives.
- Master’s degree (MA/MS) and 10 years of experience, including 5 years in DoD, or Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) and 12 years of experience, including 5 years in DoD.
- Top Secret clearance required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with supported customers.
- Experience with SharePoint (managing, uploading, and editing program data and files).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Work environment: professional office environment using standard office equipment. Physical demands: largely sedentary with occasional file or box movement, lift up to 40 lbs. Mental demands: reading and communicating effectively (verbal and written), maintaining emotional control and professionalism.
Travel:
As required.
Top Secret clearance required.
