ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Town of Yarmouth seeks a full time Appraisal Assistant/Data Collector in our Assessor’s Division.

This position is responsible for technical inspections and statistical analysis work. Performs other duties normal and customary for an assessing office including data entry in the appraisal system, processing abatements, exemptions, personal property, address changes, etc. Must provide excellent customer service in the office and in the field.

Works under the general direction of the Director of Assessing and in accordance with state statutes and directives of the Department of Revenue. Prior field work measuring and listing properties is preferable.

RECOMMENDED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
:
High school education with additional course work in appraisal, real estate, statistics, or data processing; two years of related experience, preferably in the real estate industry; some office experience including work with computers; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. A Massachusetts motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
