Bachelor’s degree required in Fire Administration, Fire Science or related field;
Master’s Degree in related field of study is strongly preferred; 7 to 10 years of related work experience and a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Massachusetts Credentialed Fire Chief Center for Public Safety Excellence Chief Fire Officer designation strongly preferred
Completion of the Department of Fire Services Chief Fire Officer Management Program EMT Certification-Paramedic strongly preferred
Massachusetts driver’s license
National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications Firefighter I & II National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications Fire Instructor I & II National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications Fire Officer I, II, and IIIAED & CPR Certification National Incident Management System IS-700, 800
