Speech Language Pathology Assistant

Position Type: Full-time

• Provide direct services as indicated on the student’s Individualized Education Program with consultation and supervision by Speech Language Pathologist.
• Collect and maintain data on student progress per the IEP goals as well as direct logs of therapy services.
• Maintain compliance with regulations of Individualized Education Program development, team meetings, Medicaid billing, and progress reports.
• Participate in the development of student’s Individual Education Program (IEP) with direct supervision by Speech Language Pathologist.
• Assist with the management of communication and amplification devices.
• Assist teachers and other special education staff in the development and implementation of curriculum accommodations/modifications and appropriate classroom strategies as determined by the Team process and subsequent IEP formulation with direct supervision by Speech Language Pathologist.
• Perform other responsibilities as deemed appropriate and assigned by a Supervisor, Administration or Director of Pupil Services.

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Allied Health Professionals licensure.
• 1-2 years experience as a SLPA in a school setting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Technology experience (communication devices, AAC, etc.) a plus.
• At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
